The Kitchen Table

Father O'Malley pulled up a chair and sat close to Anna. As he pressed his lips together, Anna heart started to race. something was wrong, very wrong. "There's been a plane crash.".From that moment, Anna's Abbott life is changed forever as she learns the devastating truth that her parents have been killed in a plane crash. In the upper state of South Carolina, Michael Bennett and Ragan Carter are given the same tragic news. "The Kitchen Table" follows Anna Michael and Ragan on a search for belonging. But each character is faced with more than just the heartbreaking loss of their parents. Sixteen-year -old Anna is living with her abusive uncle and an aunt who doesn't believe her, while Ragan searches for love and fine herself pregnant and at the mercy of a selfish grandmother. Michael tries to move on and after graduating from the Citadel moves on to go to law school, only to discover a life altering secret about his father. Their path takes them over the pond to England and back again to the Holy City of Charleston where they find peace at The Kitchen Table. I wrote this for readers who enjoy romance, drama and mainly hope. I believe that everyone has the inner strength to overcome the trials in life, any trial, we just have to use it.

My recent endeavor and my best accomplishment to date is "The Kitchen Table." A novel about three young adults who loose their parents. I wanted to write a story that did not start with boy meets girl.......... and they get together, period. The Kitchen Table is a story that moves between characters. Below is a brief synopsis:
